How Tokyo's ingredients and sights inspire chefs Yoshihisa Akiyama and Katsumi Kusumoto
In this series we get to know Tokyo through the eyes of the people who know it best: the locals. We will meet some of the city’s charismatic inhabitants and see and hear why they fell in love with the city and why they are proud to call it home. The series uses a fresh and modern filming style, with a dynamic blend of interviews, narrative and direct-to-camera shots, interspersed with archive and contemporary footage and captioning.
Each episode will feature 2 protagonists who are Tokyo Tourism Ambassadors. We will discover their favourite places to go in Tokyo - a mixture of some classic, iconic Tokyo sights and more personal, local places they have discovered themselves, showcasing the old and new sides to the city. Through their story and personality, we will see another, truly authentic side to Tokyo.
