Piercings “SERIKA” made by Tsumami-zaiku
These pierced earrings have been made using a technique for crafting “Edo tsumami kanzashi” hair ornaments that flourished during the Edo period (ca. 1603–1867).
Using the “tsumami zaiku” technique, thin silk fabric called “habutae” is cut into squares (15 mm by 15 mm) and folded with tweezers to create three-dimensional petals.
Emanating a natural silk luster, small blossoms are light and comfortable to wear and will bring elegance around the face.
The simple design matches both Japanese and Western looks, available in two colors, white and blue. What do you say to adding a Japanese traditional touch to your everyday life?
