Art booklet With Postcard

“Hikifuda” was a leaflet used for advertising in the 17th to early 20th century in Japan. It resembles of good old Japanese culture with fancy and unique designs.
In making this Art booklet, we asked “Geijutu Shincho” (the art magazine specializing in history and culture), to supervise the selection of 18 art pieces from 8400 Hikifuda designs. The book contains English captions of the background and meaning of each piece.
The Art Booklet comes with Hikifuda designed postcards for you to take a closer look at the designs.
