Tokyo Story is a film compilation of these different Tokyo scenes taken from various angles. It depicts moment-to-moment shots of the forever-evolving city of Tokyo taken with a regular camera. The scenes that happen to appear in the film and digital data can only be seen in the present day. They represent a truly unique expression of Tokyo.

World-acclaimed Japanese film director Yasujiro Ozu captivated global audiences with a second-hand American camera and a 50mm lens. Japanese photographer Kineo Kuwabara captured the changing postwar Tokyo landscape through his photographs of everyday life. Tokyo Story was filmed with the same desire as our forefathers: to encapsulate video and photographic evidence of today’s Tokyo for future generations.
